Excellent game, mediocre venue
The Honda Center, despite its fantastic game, presented a mediocre arena experience. They should have left the lights on over the court for added drama, instead of keeping the lights on in the arena. Additionally, there were no replays of the game's great moments. The announced attendance was over 15,000 in an arena that can hold close to 19,000, but there were numerous no-shows. The at-large fans, such as myself, who came to see great basketball, should have filled the missing seats. It seems that people in LA may not care much about college-level basketball. Ticketmaster, on the other hand, was excellent in helping me find my lost tickets.

Amazing guitar playing, unbelievable! His band shines fantastically in classy fashion as well. He played for about 2 hours, but would have liked more time. Unfortunately, he looked tired due to the ridiculously hot and humid weather, leaving people drenched. He is a little bit of blues, jazz, Jimi Hendrix, and Dave Mathews all rolled into one, with a touch of comedian. The venue, 1st Midwest Bank, needs to modernize. The screens on the sides of the stage were awful, way too light making images hard to see. Parking was terrible, with no lines drawn and glass all over the unpaved lot. Prices were ridiculous, $4.00 for a small coke, $4.00 for regular popcorn, and $9.00 for a can of Jack Daniels punch. Mannheim Steamroller was loved, but the venue was not. It also took 1 hour to get out of Tinley Park due to terrible traffic control.
